Working Groups
Six Thematic Working Groups
The Platform establishes Working Groups to deliver its annual work programme. Members are free to participate in all, in a party or in none of the Working Groups. They appoint their Working Group Leader (illustrated by their logo in this page) and if appropriate a Deputy to coordinate the activities.
WG Batteries
Led by 3M, the Battery working group will develop a Platform position on EU battery production and supply chain via the Battery Regulation. The group will promote sustainable production and management of batteries in other related files such as the due diligence directive, the end-of-life vehicles directive.
WG Energy
Led by Eurelectric, the WG works on turning the Renewable Energy Directive and Solar power strategy into an enabler of the win-win relationship between renewable energy and electromobility via supporting smart charging.
WG Fleet Electrification
The working group proposes solutions to push the electrification of corporate fleets as an enable of the democratisation of EVs in Europe. Both the CO2 Standards for cars and vans regulation and Clean vehicles directive are key legislations for this objective.
WG Green Deal
Along with key legislative development (e.g. EU ETS, CO2 Standards fo rcars and vans) the working group will draft the Platform’s strategic vision to decarbonise the transport sector by 2050. The WG is co-chaired by Renault-Nissan and the ECF.
WG Infrastructures
The WG works on the revision of the Directive on Alternative Fuel Infrastructure (2014/94/EU) to provide advocacy support on the deployment of public charging infrastructure and will also focus on the upcoming revision of the Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings (2010/31/EU) to highlight the importance of the roll-out of private charging infrastructure.
WG Logistic
2022 will be a key year for the electrificaiton of trucks with the CO2 Standards for trucks and buses but also upcoming revision of the Combined transport directive, EUcountEmission directive, Weights and Dimensions Directive etc.
